No, but you can always jump The Knight in before stealth is assigned. But if you wait until after stealth is assigned, there is nothing that can get them into the challenge as defenders. |

Yes on the jumping, no on the Renown.
The Jousting abilities prevent more than one defender from being declared while there is only 1 attacking character. If there are ever more than 1 attacker or defender, the challenge is no longer a Joust. Jumping The Knight in on either side of a challenge does not count as declaring a character, so he is very good for "breaking" Jousts.
And while there is no rule against jumping him in as an attacker or defender against his controller, the rules of Renown only award power to characters CONTROLLED by the winner of the challenge. Thus, The Knight will never claim Renown when attacking or defending against his controller and your "I am losing this battle so at least I have renown" idea does not work. |
