Attachments |

Attachments are played underneath other cards (either yours or an opponent’s) already in play and modify them with their rules text. (Most attachments are played on characters, but some are played on other types of cards.) Attachments are discarded from play if the card they are attached to leaves play for any reason (such as being killed, discarded, or returned to your hand or deck). |

(v3.8) Attachments An attachment is defined as a card in your deck, hand, or discard pile of the actual "attachment" card type, as well as any card in play that is considered to be "attached" to another card. Facedown attachments are also considered attachments, but with the following additional rule: If a facedown attachment leaves play for any reason, it is immediately put into its owner’s discard pile. Facedown attachments have no traits, no abilities, and card type other than "attachment." When a card is "attached," it loses any other card type (character, location, event) it may have. Any attachment that has a restriction (such as "Lord or Lady only") is immediately discarded from play at any time that restriction is not met, regardless of immunity. Unless specifically stated otherwise on the card, Attachments always attach to a character. (v3.10) Duplicates Playing a duplicate is not considered to be playing an attachment. [...] |

Yes. The only unique cards you are not allowed to play are those in your dead pile or those of your opponent you have taken control of/those of yours your opponent takes control of (does this sentence make sense?). Of course, you can only play an attachment during your Marshalling phase (unless you have another way to put it into play). |

No. Whenever a card leaves play, it goes into a "moribund" state. What that means is that whenever a card is discarded FROM PLAY, it technically stays in play until the current action window closes, but cannot be discarded, killed, returned to hand, or otherwise removed from play again. For the purposes of TRIGGERING responses, it is considered to have been placed in the appropriate out-of-play area, but not for resolving them. What that means in this case is that since the Targ Iron Throne is a Response that returns a card from your DISCARD pile to your hand and the attachments on the character just killed are not physically IN the discard pile yet, you cannot retrieve them yet. You're going to have to wait for a card to be sent to a dead pile in the NEXT action window before you can do it. |

Right, the character only gains the keyword when the word "gains" is used. So unless the attachment says "attached character gains Stalwart," it is the attachment itself that is Stalwart, not the attached character. It would be the attachment that is returned to the top of your deck when it is discarded (and the attached character goes to your dead/discard pile). |

Not at all. Remember that attachments stand and kneel INDEPENDENTLY of the character it is attached to. So when the character kneels to attack or defend, the attachment stays standing. Conversely, when you kneel this attachment for influence, the character stays standing. Make sure you are doing that, BTW: You only kneel the attachment, not the attached character, to use the influence on Convenient Scorpion. Since you the attachment provides influence, you can benefit from having the attachment standing even if the character is not. So Vengeful on the attachment (without extending it to the character) isn't weird at all. |

During the next turn the attachement is discarder because the no attachement reapers, or the attachement which says "no text" applies? |

If a plot like Fortified blanks the "No attachments" text so that you can put a blanking attachment like "Milk of the Poppy" on, too, there are two separate effects blanking the text. When the plot goes away, there is still one blanking effect, which was legally applied, active on the card. The text is legally blank, so the "no attachments" does not return and Milk stays on the character. |
